In 1968,
Don Dacus began
implementing his visions of fine
watercraft by forming Galaxie Boat
Works, Inc., a progressive company
still owned and operated by the
Dacus family today.
Galaxie Boat Works continues to
embrace a perfectionistic ideology in the design and construction
of the watercraft that bears the name of the company. This commitment
to quality has withstood the test of time as well as the trials
of use on rough and windy lakes of the plains states, the stumpy
lakes of |

Texas, as well as the vast, open water of the Great Lakes and
Gulf of Mexico.
Galaxie Boat Works is proud of their
status as a certified NMMA builder, and as such, continues to
produce watercraft that exceeds the U.S. Coast Guard safety specifications.
This "above-and-beyond" approach to excellence stands
as an assurance to Galaxie customers that the company founded
over 30 years ago will continue to design its products in the
